Nothing seemed off about the hotel at first but now Dev was starting to wonder if the rumors were true. Too many coincidences, too many unexplained events, and now he was lost on what he thinks is the third floor even though the elevator said 5th floor. Meanwhile, where was that elevator exactly? It seems like each hallway of the hotel shifted after he walked down it. At first, the numbers were all prefixed with 5, now with 3. That just doesn't add up. There was also the stillness of the place. It was noon, he should be able to hear voices in the rooms, or see other people in the hall but ever since he got to the fifth --or was it third-- floor, everything had been quiet, too quiet. Pausing to look out the window, Dev realized that the sky had become nothing more but a thick grey fog. It was too foggy in fact to see anything more than a few feet away from the window. "I give up on this one, I really do," Dev muttered aloud to himself.
